Kim San, County Governor of Muan, Visits National Assembly to Secure Next Year's National Budget
Proposal to Support 15 Current Projects with a Total of 243.6 Billion KRW
Kim San, the governor of Muan County, visited the National Assembly on the 10th to secure national funding for next year.
According to Muan County on the 11th, on that day, he met sequentially with Seo Sam-seok, chairman of the National Assembly Budget and Accounts Special Committee, Kang Hoon-sik, the committee's secretary, and Park Sang-hyuk, a member of the committee, to explain local pending projects and actively request support.

Governor Kim San's visit was to seek assistance so that the key projects of the 8th elected administration could be reflected as much as possible in next year's national budget, following the recent announcement of the government's tax revenue decline and strengthened fiscal austerity policy.
The pending projects proposed that day include: △ Bus Public Garage Installation Project (16 billion KRW) △ Doripo Sunset and Sunrise Gallery Project (14.4 billion KRW) △ Changpo Lake Nonpoint Pollution Reduction Project (8.14 billion KRW) △ Cheongsu 1 Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project (3 billion KRW) △ Organic Waste Biogas Facility Installation Project (33.3 billion KRW), totaling five projects.
The Orlyong Bus Public Garage Installation Project is necessary for residents' convenience due to the surge in public transportation demand caused by population growth in the Namaak and Orlyong districts, and the Doripo Sunset and Sunrise Gallery Project is a coastal tourism complex development project aimed at revitalizing the wide-area tourism route connecting Sinan and Yeonggwang.
Additionally, as key projects, he explained and requested support for △ Seongdong Spatial Innovation Zone Leading Project (96 billion KRW) △ Muan Hwangto Mudflat Land Wooden Ocean Tower Construction Project (13 billion KRW).
The ‘Seongdong Spatial Innovation Zone Leading Project’ is a project to revitalize the old downtown area of Muan-eup and promote it through systematic urban planning, and the ‘Muan Hwangto Mudflat Land Wooden Ocean Tower Construction Project’ is a project to build the largest wooden ocean tower in Korea and a skywalk using eco-friendly wood at Mudflat Land.
Governor Kim San stated, “The projects proposed this time are essential for the development of our county,” and added, “I will make every effort to secure the budget comprehensively by frequently visiting the National Assembly to explain the necessity so that the pending projects can proceed without any setbacks.”
