'Hakik Station on Suin Line to be Completed in 2026... Basic and Detailed Design to Start in Second Half of the Year'
The construction project for the new Hakik Station on the Suin Line in Incheon, scheduled for completion in 2026, is expected to accelerate.
Incheon City announced on the 11th that DCR Co., Ltd., the developer of the Yonghyeon-Hakik 1 Block Urban Development Project, fully paid the 49.1 billion KRW project cost for the new Hakik Station to the Korea Rail Network Authority on the 10th.
The city also secured a payment guarantee insurance certificate from DCR to cover 30 years of operating losses required for Hakik Station’s operation (approximately 450 million KRW annually). DCR plans to pay the full amount of the operating loss compensation to Korea Railroad Corporation by the end of next year.
With the project cost payment completed, the city will begin the basic and detailed design of Hakik Station in the second half of this year.
Hakik Station will be located between Songdo Station and Inha University Station on the Suin Line. In the first phase, the underground first and second floor mainline structures were completed in 2018, and the second phase includes external entrances, electrical, signaling, communication, and facility works, as well as architectural finishing works.
The construction of Hakik Station is being promoted as a metropolitan transportation improvement measure in response to the Yonghyeon-Hakik 1 Block Urban Development, which will accommodate a total of 13,000 households and 33,000 residents.
