Kia Europe Subsidiary Hires PBV Expert from Stellantis
Kia's European subsidiary has recruited an expert in Purpose-Built Mobility (PBV) business. Kia plans to accelerate its PBV business by bringing in a professional with 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and integrated solutions in the B2B (business-to-business) and commercial vehicle sectors.
On the 11th, Kia announced that it had appointed Pierre-Martin Bos as the head of PBV business at its European subsidiary (Kia EU) on the 10th.
Pierre-Martin Bos began his career in 1999 handling B2B business at Italy's Fiat Group and has worked across various brands under the Stellantis Group. He has extensive experience in commercial vehicle sales, marketing, client management, and business leadership across global regions including Europe and Africa.
In the key European market, Pierre-Martin Bos will be responsible for ▲identifying customers and demand ▲building sales networks ▲establishing dedicated business systems to provide customer management and integrated solutions.
Furthermore, he will play a crucial role in ▲exploring collaboration projects with global clients to supply products optimized for purpose-built vehicles ▲and in concretizing Kia’s global PBV business strategy.
At the 2023 Investor Day held in April this year, Kia declared the PBV business, which provides vehicle products and mobility services specialized to customer demands and needs, as a core future business.
To this end, Kia introduced a customer participation development process that reflects customer feedback to offer specialized solutions according to usage purposes from the product and service development stages. A dedicated PBV production plant with an annual capacity of 150,000 units is also under construction, targeting mass production starting in 2025.
After launching the first PBV model applying a dedicated platform in 2025, Kia plans to establish a full PBV lineup ranging from small to large vehicles. A software-centered specialized solution package and dedicated sales network will also be prepared.
