Gwangju Seo-gu Wins 1st Place in 'Korea Service Quality Index' for 3 Consecutive Years

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 10th that it has won first place for three consecutive years in the administrative service category of the ‘Korea Service Quality Index (KS-SQI)’ organized by the Korea Standards Association.

The ‘Korea Service Quality Index’ is a result derived by comparing, analyzing, and evaluating data on how much the services provided by companies and local governments are actually perceived by customers, and Seo-gu ranked first in the administrative service category.

In particular, this evaluation is even more meaningful as it was directly assessed by residents who used civil complaint services among Seo-gu’s actual residents.

Since the launch of the 8th local government administration, Seo-gu has been conducting kindness consulting for 18 dong administrative welfare centers and the Seo-gu Office civil complaint office to improve the friendliness of public services.

As a result, while Seo-gu’s kindness score was only 67.5 points on average in the second half of last year, it rose significantly to 83.26 points in the first half of this year, just six months later.

Residents have also felt this change and have shown high satisfaction by mentioning specific kindness cases through services such as ‘Baro Munja Harangkke’.

Seo-gu plans to continue kindness consulting in the second half of the year to improve the quality of friendly services.

Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, “Improving the quality of life for Seo-gu residents starts with raising the level of administrative services,” and added, “We will do our best not only in friendly services but also in proactive administration, field administration, and communication administration.”
