Chungnam Province Conducts Safety Inspections of Inland Water Leisure Business Sites
Chungnam Province announced on the 10th that from the 11th to the 13th, it will form a joint inspection team with the Coast Guard to conduct safety inspections of inland water leisure businesses in the region.
The inspection targets are eight water leisure business sites located on rivers and reservoirs in the Cheonan, Asan, Nonsan, Buyeo, Geumsan, and Cheongyang areas.
The main inspection items include ▲compliance with water leisure business registration standards ▲safety suitability of water leisure equipment ▲appropriateness of facilities and equipment at the business sites ▲compliance with safety measures ▲securing lifeguards and adherence to deployment standards, among others.
Chungnam Province will take immediate corrective actions on-site for issues that can be rectified during the inspection, and if urgent safety hazards such as structural problems are found, it will issue administrative orders and continuously monitor and manage safety matters through follow-up reports.

Lee Young-min, Director of the River Division of Chungnam Province, said, “Chungnam Province, along with city and county governments and the Boryeong and Taean Coast Guard stations, will do its best through joint safety inspections to ensure that residents can feel safe and enjoy water leisure activities.”
