The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 7th that Kim Ok-rang, director of the Kkokdu Museum, has been appointed as the chairman of the Seoul Arts Troupe. The term is three years, until July 6, 2026.
Chairman Kim is a performing arts expert who has served as the CEO of Dongsung Art Center for over 30 years. He currently holds concurrent positions as director of the Kkokdu Museum, chairman of the Okrang Cultural Foundation, and vice president of the Korea Girl Scouts.
The Seoul Arts Troupe is an arts organization that produces original musical dramas based on Korean themes. It has been engaged in international exchange activities through performing arts for 37 years. Recently, it became the first public arts organization to export the musical "Darwin Young's Origin of Evil" to Japan.
