Peugeot Unveils Facelifted 208 Model, Europe’s Best-Selling Car Last Year
Release in November
Peugeot has unveiled the facelifted 208 model, which recorded the highest sales in Europe last year, for the first time worldwide. It is scheduled to be launched in the global market this November.
This vehicle is Peugeot's representative urban compact car model. The 9th generation model, launched in 2019, has produced about 1 million units. It was the best-selling vehicle across all segments in Europe for two consecutive years in 2021 and last year. The electric model e-208 also became the best-selling electric vehicle in the B-segment within Europe.
The exterior firmly establishes Peugeot's signature "Pelein Look" while maintaining the sleek body proportions unique to the 208. The headlamps are shaped like three lion claws. The front grille and body are integrated seamlessly. The rear lamps are arranged in a horizontal form.
The interior is equipped with Peugeot's latest i-Cockpit. The instrument panel is positioned at a height aligned with the driver's line of sight. A 10-inch display is installed, and the GT trim comes standard with a 3D display.
Both the Allure and GT trims come standard with a 10-inch HD touchscreen display and Peugeot i-Connect on the center fascia. The i-Connect Advanced is available as an option.
Safety and convenience features include an HD rear camera, adaptive cruise control (including stop and go), automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition system, lane departure warning system, driver attention alert system, and blind spot monitoring. The GT trim comes standard with a 15W high-speed smartphone wireless charging pad. It can also be added as an option on the Allure trim.
