Complete Overhaul of Real Estate Information Service 'Gyeonggi Budongsan'
Gyeonggi Province is reorganizing unnecessary functions of the 'Gyeonggi Real Estate' app and relaunching it with only essential map-based features.
The Gyeonggi Real Estate app is a service developed and operated by Gyeonggi Province since 2012, providing detailed information on land and buildings, individual official land prices, and individual and collective housing official prices.
According to the revision plan, users will be able to overlay more than 14 types of maps immediately after launching the app, including single parcel information, continuous cadastral maps, land use plans, official land price maps, and aerial cadastral maps. Additionally, to increase the app's launch speed, a new programming language and development environment have been newly applied, improving the system so that both Android and iPhone devices operate under the same development environment.
Along with improved operation speed, measures have been taken to enable the app to be used on tablets as well.
Gyeonggi Province focuses on providing map-centered real estate information through the app, while detailed textual real estate information can be checked on the Gyeonggi Real Estate Portal website (gris.gg.go.kr). By differentiating the information provided by platform, user satisfaction across devices has been enhanced.
Oh Chang-seon, head of the Spatial Information Drone Team at Gyeonggi Province, explained, "This revision was carried out to resolve the issue of not being able to immediately reflect past user demands according to Android or iPhone devices," adding, "The Gyeonggi Real Estate Portal is continuously discovering new content to quickly provide residents with various information such as checking for empty lease apartments and areas to be cautious of speculative real estate damage."
