Korean Air Reaches Tentative Agreement on Wage Negotiations with General Union
Korean Air and the Korean Air Labor Union (hereinafter referred to as the General Union) announced on the 5th that they held the 2023 wage negotiations at Korean Air headquarters located in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and reached a tentative agreement.
The main points of the tentative agreement between labor and management are ▲a 3.5% increase based on total wage amount ▲expansion of the maximum payment limit for performance bonuses from the existing 300% to 500%, among others.
Labor and management also agreed to expand employee welfare by introducing a selective welfare system. The bottled water currently provided can be converted into welfare points. These points can be used at the employee welfare mall. Additionally, a one-time welfare point of 500,000 per employee will be provided this year.
The scope of special education expenses support for children with disabilities will be increased, and condolence and celebration support funds will also be raised. The age limit for children eligible to use employee airline tickets will be raised from the current unmarried 30 years old to 35 years old.

With this tentative wage agreement, Korean Air will be able to further focus its capabilities on business normalization after the COVID-19 pandemic. Korean Air plans to continue its efforts to build a cooperative labor-management relationship going forward.
