40s Drunk Driver Caught After 20km Pursuit Following Wrong-Way Driving
A man in his 40s who was driving the wrong way on an urban road while intoxicated was caught after a chase.
According to the Jinju Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 5th, a report was received around midnight on the 3rd about a vehicle driving the wrong way near Omigogae in Myeongseok-myeon, Jinju.
The police spotted Mr. A's car driving the wrong way from Sancheong toward Jinju and ordered him to stop, but Mr. A's car fled.

Eventually, the vehicle collided with the railing on Cheonsugyo Bridge, struck the opposite lane sidewalk, and toppled to the left, leading to his arrest.
During this process, two police officers in the patrol cars sustained minor injuries.
Mr. A, who was arrested on the spot, admitted to drinking but was unable to take a breathalyzer test due to injuries inside his mouth and underwent a blood test instead.
