Agrees on the Need for Lee Nak-yeon and Lee Jae-myung Meeting
"Lee Jae-myung Supporters Must Stop Attacks"
Yoon Young-chan, a member of the Democratic Party affiliated with the pro-Lee Nak-yeon faction, said on the 5th regarding the possibility of a meeting between Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party leader, and former leader Lee Nak-yeon, "There is no reason for the two not to meet," adding, "They will meet when the time comes."
On the 5th, Yoon appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current Affairs' and said, "Former leader Lee went to Gwangju and the National Cemetery, and today he is going to Bongha Village and to see former President Moon Jae-in," adding, "There are procedures he considers important, and it is impolite to urge him to meet before those are completed."
Yoon said, "When the two meet, it should ultimately be in a direction that benefits the party," and expressed concern, saying, "However, while saying 'let's meet' or 'it's necessary,' YouTube and supporters of Leader Lee Jae-myung are spreading false information such as 'We lost the presidential election because of Lee Nak-yeon' or 'Lee Nak-yeon voted for Yoon Seok-youl.'

He continued, "Will such an approach really lead to a harmonious union between the two? This is very worrisome," and said, "They must stop aggressive and hostile actions."
Regarding former leader Lee Nak-yeon's role within the party, he said, "He should act as a catalyst for democracy within the party, allowing for more diversity and various voices to breathe."
Yoon emphasized, "The biggest problem in the party right now is that it keeps trying to move with a single voice," adding, "The party is not a single voice. There are always diverse voices, and these diverse voices should be gathered and eventually come out as one voice."
