Lotte Duty Free Signs MOU with Busan City to Support Local Small Businesses
Providing Rebranding and Customized Consulting for Small Business Owners in Busan Area
Lotte Duty Free announced on the 4th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Busan City to support small business owners and revitalize the local economy.
The signing ceremony for the "Support Project to Strengthen the Capabilities of Small Business Owners in Busan City" was held on the afternoon of the 3rd at Busan City Hall, attended by Lee Seong-gwon, Vice Mayor of Economy of Busan Metropolitan City, No Jae-seung, Head of Marketing Division at Lotte Duty Free, and other key officials from both organizations. Based on this agreement, Lotte Duty Free will carry out the third phase of its small business win-win cooperation project "CHEERUPS," which has been ongoing since 2021, targeting small business owners in the Busan area.

So far, Lotte Duty Free has supported the rebranding of 102 restaurants located in major tourist destinations in South Korea such as Myeongdong and Incheon by replacing outdated facilities and equipment. This time, in collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, 15 small business owners who have operated stores for more than 10 years in the Busan area have been selected to receive customized consulting. In particular, digital transformation support will focus on creating digital multilingual menus to enhance convenience for foreign tourists visiting Busan. The third phase of CHEERUPS support will be conducted for about three months starting from the 17th.
