Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is recruiting participants for the ‘Local Creator Training Program’ until the 21st to invigorate the local economy by promoting local shops and small business owners.
‘Local Creator’ is a compound word combining ‘local,’ meaning the region, and ‘creator,’ meaning a person who produces content.
Participants in the training program can learn how to create social network service (SNS) content from professional instructors, discover and promote unique and valuable local shops and small business owners, and gain a sense of fulfillment.
Eligible participants are residents or workers in Eunpyeong-gu. Qualifications include experience in video shooting and editing, and having at least 30 posts on Naver Blog or more than 100 followers on Instagram.
Those who wish to participate should scan the QR code on the promotional poster and submit an application online by 6 p.m. on the 21st. Selection will be made through a comprehensive review of blog posts, visitor numbers, and other factors.
Selected participants will receive training on content creation methods and support for activity expenses needed for promotional marketing. Renowned instructors will help participants acquire skills in Instagram and blog content creation, as well as commercial district branding techniques.
After completing the training, participants will actively promote the local commercial district as ‘Local Creators.’ They will discover small business shops and upload promotional content on blogs and Instagram, and publish magazines twice a year, in the first and second halves, featuring stories about century-old local businesses and alleyway commercial districts.
