Jeonnam Provincial Council Health and Welfare Committee Holds 1st Anniversary 'Legislative Activity Workshop'
The Jeonnam Provincial Council announced on the 3rd that members of the Health, Welfare, and Environment Committee held a 'Legislative Activity Workshop' on Angel Island, Shinan-gun, to mark the first anniversary of the formation of the 12th Council's first half committee.
Over the past year, the members have handled 42 agenda items, including the enactment and revision of 22 ordinances such as the nation's first Blue Carbon Ordinance and budget reviews, and improved 84 unreasonable administrative procedures through administrative audits.

View original imageIn particular, they have actively promoted the establishment of Jeonnam Medical School, introduced the regional public nurse system to secure vulnerable public nursing personnel, and secured related budgets.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Education Committee, they formed the 'Child and Youth Policy Council' to reduce departmental barriers and establish a cooperative system among related departments. In April, they also formed a joint council with the Gwangju Metropolitan Council's Environment and Welfare Committee to improve the water quality of the Yeongsan River.
