Gyeonggi Office of Education to Pilot 'Neulbom School' at 6 Education Support Offices
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is launching a pilot project for the 'Gyeonggi-type Neulbom School' in six educational support offices across the province.
On the 28th, the Office announced that in the second half of this year, the Gyeonggi-type Neulbom School will be piloted in six educational support offices: Suwon, Goyang, Seongnam, Siheung, Uijeongbu, and Dongducheon-Yangju.
These six educational support offices will operate Neulbom Schools flexibly, reflecting regional characteristics and conditions, based on models such as ▲Center Strengthening Model ▲Hub Center Model ▲Local Government Cooperation Model ▲Private Consignment Model ▲Complex Model.

Kim Hee-jung, Director of Regional Education Cooperation at the Office of Education, stated, "Through the pilot operation of Neulbom Schools, we plan to achieve goals such as strengthening cooperation with local governments, reducing the workload of Neulbom School operations, resolving after-school care waiting demand, and improving the quality of after-school programs." She expressed optimism, saying, "This will enable the operation of Neulbom Schools where students are happy and parents are satisfied."
