Gyeonggwon and Gyeonggi Bio Center Major Accident Prevention Safety Inspection
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency conducted a safety inspection of major facilities at the Gyeonggi Bio Center.
On the 27th, the agency announced that on the 26th, it carried out an on-site safety inspection of major facilities and laboratories at the Gyeonggi Bio Center in Suwon Yeongtong Gwanggyo Technovalley to verify the prevention of serious accidents and the status of laboratory safety management.
The safety inspection focused on preventing not only serious industrial accidents but also serious civic accidents.
The inspection team checked ▲whether safety measures for hazardous and dangerous machinery and equipment were in place ▲whether fire prevention safety measures were implemented ▲whether Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) were attached ▲whether safety and health signs were installed. Additionally, they reviewed the overall safety management aspects such as emergency response plans and the working environment.
Kang Seong-cheon, Director of the agency, emphasized, "We will do our best to protect the lives and health of not only the agency’s employees but also the residents using the Gyeonggi Bio Center by actively improving hazardous and dangerous factors discovered through the safety inspection."
