Yangcheon-gu Resumes Free Shuttle Bus Service for Public Sports Facilities After 3 Years
Six Free Shuttle Buses for Yangcheon, Sinwol, and Mokdong Sports Centers to Resume Operation from July 1
Weekdays: 9 AM to 7 PM, 9 Trips; Saturdays: 9 AM to 3 PM, 5 Trips
Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced that it will resume the free shuttle bus service for Yangcheon, Sinwol, and Mokdong Sports Centers, which had been suspended for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting July 1 to enhance convenience for residents.
The district operates a total of six routes divided by sports center: three routes for Yangcheon Public Sports Center, two routes for Sinwol Cultural Sports Center, and one route for Mokdong Cultural Sports Center. To support this, six dedicated shuttle buses will be in service.
The shuttle buses will run nine times on weekdays from 9 AM to 7 PM and five times on Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM. However, they will not operate during lunch hours, on Sundays, or on public holidays.
The shuttle bus service is available to residents using the Yangcheon, Sinwol, and Mokdong Sports Centers. Detailed routes and schedules for each center can be found on the Yangcheon-gu Facilities Management Corporation website. Operating times may be adjusted depending on traffic conditions and weather on the day, and any changes will be promptly announced on the website to minimize inconvenience to residents.
Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “The shuttle bus service running again after three years is expected to improve accessibility to sports facilities that were stagnant due to COVID-19, serving as a signal to revitalize community sports and promote residents’ health.”
