136 Export Consultations... Consultation Amount of 22.61 Million USD
Jeonbuk Province (Governor Kim Kwan-young) and the Jeonbuk Economic and Trade Promotion Agency (Director Lee Hyun-woong, hereinafter referred to as the Promotion Agency) announced on the 26th that from the 18th to the 24th, excellent product companies from the province held export consultation meetings with local buyers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and T?rkiye.
The UAE and T?rkiye are South Korea's largest export markets in the Middle East. Both countries have excellent logistics infrastructure, serving as a foothold for entering the European market, including the Middle East and North Africa.
Jeonbuk Province and the Jeonbuk Economic and Trade Promotion Agency held export consultation meetings between local excellent product companies and local buyers in the UAE and Turkey from the 18th to the 24th.

South Korea and Turkey signed an FTA in 2013, marking its 11th anniversary this year. Due to the popularity of K-content in the UAE, demand for cosmetics, consumer goods, and other products is expanding, and the scale of trade is expected to continue growing.
This export consultation meeting formed a delegation of 10 companies from Jeonbuk specializing in promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in cosmetics, food, and parts sectors to open new markets in these countries and secure various export channels.
The local export consultation meetings were held in Dubai, UAE, and Istanbul, T?rkiye. Ten companies, including Byeokjin Co., participated, conducting a total of 136 consultations with a consultation amount worth approximately USD 22.61 million, showing excellent results.
In particular, Byeokjin Co., Ltd. (Gunsan), which produces railway vehicle parts and precision machined products, signed an MOU worth USD 1 million with company T in Dubai, UAE, as a result of steady preparation in the railway vehicle parts sector tailored to the local market.
Also, SN Plus Co., Ltd. (Jeonju), which produces functional cosmetics such as acne patches and creams, secured an on-site contract worth USD 50,000 with company M in T?rkiye, after persistently knocking on the door of the Turkish market since before COVID-19.
Director Lee Hyun-woong said, "Through this trade delegation, the export performance of local manufacturers in Jeonbuk will increase and export regions will diversify. We will not treat this as a one-time project but will provide continuous support and management to help the region enter the global market."
