Gyeonggi Office of Education Announces Personnel Changes for 1 July Affecting 1,636 Employees... Emphasizing 'Autonomy, Balance, and Future'
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is placing professionals and competency-centered talents at the forefront to realize the values of autonomy, balance, and future-oriented education in Gyeonggi.
The Office announced on the 23rd that it will carry out personnel appointments for a total of 1,636 local government officials effective July 1.
Through this personnel reshuffle, the Office plans to assign officials with expertise and capabilities to appropriate positions, thereby elevating the autonomy and future balance of Gyeonggi education to the next level.
In particular, the Office has prioritized activating rotational assignments among the headquarters, regional offices, and schools, and has reflected personnel grievance consultations conducted online and via visits in the personnel decisions. Additionally, it has transferred long-distance commuters to their residential areas and made accommodations for officials with disabilities.
Breaking down the appointments: ▲ Grade 4: 13 officials (3 promoted) ▲ Grade 5: 136 officials (5 promoted) ▲ Grade 6 and below: 1,487 officials.

Ryu Young-shin, Director of the Local Government Personnel Division at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, explained, "This personnel reshuffle prioritized work ability, career, and job suitability for key positions at the headquarters and regional education offices, and we strived to support stable educational activities through rotational assignments between institutions and balanced personnel deployment."
