Fire Response Drill for High-Rise Buildings Hosted by Dongdaemun-gu Office and Dongdaemun Fire Station on the 29th
Approximately 500 Participants Including Dongdaemun Police Station, Related Agencies, Apartment Officials, and Civic Groups Expected
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will conduct a fire response drill on the 29th at Cheongnyangni Lotte Castle SKY-L65 Apartment to strengthen disaster response capabilities for potential emergencies in high-rise buildings, ahead of the move-in for the newly constructed apartments near Cheongnyangni Station.
Hosted by Dongdaemun-gu Office and Dongdaemun Fire Station, this high-rise building fire response drill is expected to involve about 500 participants, including related agencies such as Dongdaemun Police Station, apartment officials, and civic groups.
The drill will simulate a fire outbreak in a high-rise building to check the roles of disaster response personnel and the cooperation system among related agencies. It will also seek and practice the optimal measures to prioritize residents' safety, including expected evacuation routes, fire suppression, rescue, and recovery operations.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “As high-rise buildings are being constructed near Cheongnyangni Station, this drill is conducted to prepare in advance for possible disaster situations in such buildings. We will establish a detailed disaster response system in cooperation with related agencies and prepare a substantial drill to enhance disaster response capabilities so that residents can live their daily lives with peace of mind.”
