"Real-Time Seafood Radiation Test Results Delivered via App" ... Gyeongbuk Province Develops Marine Environment Information App
On the 22nd, the East Coast Regional Headquarters of Gyeongbuk Province announced that it will provide radiation inspection results and real-time water temperature observation information using the ‘Gyeongbuk Sea Environment Information Smartphone App (APP)’ to inform the public about the radiation inspection results of seafood produced on the East Coast of Gyeongbuk in real time.
The Gyeongbuk Sea Environment Information app has been operated by the Fisheries Technology Institute since 2021 to provide real-time water temperature observation information, and through the recent development of radiation inspection information, users can now check both water temperature data and radiation inspection results.

Through the app, detailed radiation inspection results from June 2021 onward can be viewed, and on the main screen, anyone can easily see inspection results for representative consumer fish species.
Additionally, users can select information by fish species, region, and radiation detection status, allowing them to filter the information they want to see. This is the app’s greatest advantage, and it is expected to help promote the safe consumption of seafood when actively utilized.
The Gyeongbuk Sea Environment Information app can be downloaded by searching on the Google Play Store, and existing app users can check radiation inspection information through updates.
Gyeongbuk Province plans to produce and distribute detailed instructional leaflets related to the app so that people of all ages can easily use it.
