On the 20th, Cho Min, daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, announced that she will cease all medical activities.
Earlier, on the 19th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare initiated preliminary procedures for the 'revocation of Cho Min's medical license.'
On the morning of the 20th, Cho Min stated on her Instagram, "Until now, I have only used my medical license for volunteer medical services, but I judged that it is inappropriate to engage in medical activities during the license revocation hearing."
She explained, "On the morning of the 19th, I received a registered notice from the Ministry of Health and Welfare stating that preliminary procedures for revoking my medical license are underway."
She continued, "Feeling responsible for the social controversy caused by me and with a reflective heart, I will complete only the volunteer activities already planned, then cease all medical activities, return my medical license, and humbly await the results of the related trial." She added, "For these reasons, I also do not plan to take any steps such as filing for suspension of execution."
If Cho Min's medical license is revoked, even after the prior notice of license revocation, a hearing process to listen to the party's opinion and the final revocation procedure are required. This process typically takes 1 to 3 months, so it is expected that the decision on whether to revoke Cho Min's medical license will be made as early as the end of July.
Previously, the court ruled that the cancellation of Cho Min's admission to the Pusan National University School of Medicine was lawful. It also announced a policy to proceed with revoking her medical license once her admission cancellation is confirmed.

The 1st Administrative Division of the Busan District Court (Presiding Judge Geum Deok-hee) dismissed Cho Min's claim in the lawsuit she filed against Pusan National University on April 6 to cancel the revocation of her admission to the medical school.
From the day Cho Min receives the first-instance judgment document, 30 days later, her admission will be invalidated and she will lose her status as a medical school graduate. If both parties give up appeals before the 30 days, the judgment will be finalized, and the admission cancellation will be confirmed from that day. Furthermore, if the admission to medical school is invalidated, the requirements for obtaining a medical license will not be met, allowing the Ministry of Health and Welfare to revoke the license.
Meanwhile, Cho Min recently launched a YouTube channel and is communicating with the public through personal social media.
