Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Conducts Emergency Rescue Control Team Drill for Large-Scale Disaster Preparedness
Gwangju Seobu Fire Station announced on the 20th that it conducted an unannounced activation drill at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Chipyeong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, to enhance on-site response capabilities such as familiarization with each function's mission during the activation of the Emergency Rescue Control Team in the event of various large-scale disasters.
Just as the Emergency Rescue Control Team was activated and the fire department took on-site measures and responses during the large-scale disaster of the Daegu factory fire on the 15th, when Mobilization Order No. 1 and Response Level 3 were raised, this drill also focused on smooth activation capabilities of the Emergency Rescue Control Team for unexpected disasters, operation procedures of response plans, familiarization with individual missions, mastery of control team operations, and improvement of emergency treatment such as triage of multiple casualties according to the severity of injuries.
This drill was conducted under the assumption of a large fire and crush accident caused by a city gas explosion, with 73 firefighting personnel and 9 equipment vehicles participating.
