Democratic Party: "Kim Gi-hyeon, Is It Okay to Give a Ruling Party Leader's Speech Like This?... Hypocritical Speech"
The Democratic Party harshly criticized the speech by Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, during the negotiation group address, calling it "a hypocritical speech by the ruling party leader lacking any will for cooperation, empathy, or sense of responsibility."
Park Sung-jun, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, said in a briefing on the 20th regarding Kim's speech, "Is it acceptable for the ruling party leader to give such a negotiation group representative speech?" and added, "It is hard to believe this was a speech by the leader of the ruling party."
Spokesperson Park criticized, "Did he only watch the extreme right-wing YouTuber's abusive live broadcasts? Today's speech by Kim Ki-hyun was so embarrassing that it was hard to find any dignity of the ruling party leader." He said, "His excessive hand gestures were dizzying, and from the middle of the speech, Kim Ki-hyun’s voice became hoarse as he hurriedly poured out the prepared speech content," adding, "There was no resonance in this solitary outcry."
Park pointed out, "The bigger problem was the content of the speech," and said, "Throughout the 50-minute speech, he consistently displayed hypocrisy while defending President Yoon Seok-yeol’s one-sided solo run." He noted, "In Kim’s speech, there was no sign of willingness to cooperate with the opposition, empathy for the people, or responsibility for state affairs, even if you searched with your eyes wide open," and criticized, "It was filled only with malicious attacks against labor groups, the media, the education sector, the judiciary, and the opposition."
