A smart system that allows you to enjoy Ulsan's tourism services in one stop with a single app has been completed.
Ulsan City announced that on the 20th at 2 p.m., it will hold a completion report meeting for the ‘Ulsan Smart Tourism City Development Project’ in the situation room on the 7th floor of the city hall main building, attended by about 30 people including officials from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Tourism Organization, Ulsan Culture and Tourism Foundation, and consortium companies.
This report meeting was prepared to provide the final report and Q&A on the progress of the smart tourism city development project and to discuss future development plans for smart tourism.
The Ulsan Smart Tourism City Development Project is an online platform construction project under the theme of ‘Traveling with Whales in Ulsan,’ aimed at providing convenient and enjoyable tourism services to visitors to Ulsan and supporting the establishment of a foundation for revitalizing local tourism businesses.
The main project contents include ‘Wasseo Ulsan,’ which recommends customized tourism courses according to tourists’ preferences and provides various services such as accommodation, transportation, and meals in one stop, and the ‘Virtual Whale Immersive Experience Center’ in Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village, composed of an online platform and experiential content.
In addition, by analyzing the usage behavior of online platform users, tourism-related big data will be collected and visualized to support the advancement of future tourism policy formulation and the expansion of private sector businesses.
