Welcome, Is This Your First Time at the Council?... Gwangju Dong-gu Council Holds Lecture for Students
The Dong-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 19th that it gave a lecture on local councils to students of Dongsan Elementary School on the 16th.
The lecture was held for 69 sixth-grade students, jointly invited by the Jisan 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee and Dongsan Elementary School.
Kim Jae-sik, chairman of the Dong-gu Council, explained the composition and role of the Dong-gu Council in a way that matched the students' level for about 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A session with the students.
Student Yeo Seo-hyun said, "I felt grateful that the chairman kindly answered each question," adding, "After hearing that he hopes we grow into healthy residents of Dong-gu, and now that I am in sixth grade, I will practice becoming a healthy resident who cares about our neighborhood."
