HD Hyundai Oil Uses Recycled Plastic for Lubricant Containers
HD Hyundai Oilbank announced on the 19th that it will jointly develop containers using recycled plastic with plastic container manufacturer Sinseong Industry and introduce them to its lubricant brand Xteer products.
HD Hyundai Oilbank employees are introducing recycled plastic containers to be used in the XTIER product line.
View original imageThese containers are made by recycling battery separators discarded during the manufacturing process. Compared to containers made of conventional high-density polyethylene (HDPE), they have higher strength and purity, making them colorless, odorless, and non-toxic. Additionally, it is easy to achieve special colors such as fluorescent colors.

A Hyundai Oilbank official stated, "Eco-friendly containers will be applied not only to domestic products but also to export lubricant products starting with Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia," adding, "We plan to expand measures to activate the plastic circular economy."
