Gwangju Seo-gu to Conduct 'Health and Welfare Service Monitoring' Until the 28th

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 16th that it will conduct 'Visiting Health and Welfare Service Monitoring' targeting the customized welfare teams of 18 administrative welfare centers in each dong until the 28th.

Seo-gu plans to visit each dong to check and discuss the progress of tasks to activate welfare team operations and strengthen staff capabilities, share opinions on difficulties and future directions, and promote support measures and expert consulting.

Through this monitoring, Seo-gu will present guidelines to reduce work gaps between dongs by monitoring detailed items across all tasks, such as discovering welfare blind spots, integrated case management performance, and visiting counseling achievements, and share best practices from each dong.

Recently, Seo-gu held the 'Visiting Health and Welfare Service Best Practices Sharing Workshop,' where excellent cases of welfare blind spot discovery, integrated case management, and public-private cooperation promoted by each dong were shared, and incentives were given to six top-performing dongs and twelve excellent dongs.

Through such proactive task promotion, Seo-gu has won the grand prize for three consecutive years (2020?2022) in the 'Visiting Health and Welfare Service Provision' category of the Ministry of Health and Welfare's regional welfare project evaluation, establishing itself as a leading welfare local government.

Mayor Kim Ikang of Seo-gu said, “We will spare no support to strengthen the work capabilities of our staff so that they can carry out field-centered proactive administration,” adding, “The district and dongs will communicate and cooperate to improve residents' welfare awareness, and we will work harder together to realize Seo-gu.”
