'Lamborghini Celebrates 60th Anniversary, Achieves Record Highest Sales in Q1'
Automobili Lamborghini, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, has shown continuous growth and recorded its best-ever first-quarter performance.
On the 16th, Lamborghini announced that its first-quarter revenue this year reached 728 million euros, up 22.8% compared to the same period last year. Operating profit increased by 35.7% year-on-year to 260 million euros.
Paolo Poma, Lamborghini CFO, said, "The strength of Lamborghini's order portfolio and the explosive response to the brand's first-ever hybrid model, the Revuelto, provide the foundation for our sustained growth."
Lamborghini delivered 2,623 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, 84 more than the 2,539 units delivered in the same period last year. The Urus accounted for the largest share with 1,599 units delivered, followed by the Hurac?n and the Aventador, which was discontinued last year. The brand’s first plug-in hybrid model, the Revuelto, unveiled in March, also received a positive response.
Marking its 60th anniversary this year, Lamborghini is pursuing a full lineup electrification strategy. In March, it unveiled the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model, the Revuelto, as a world premiere. Lamborghini is implementing a three-stage electrification strategy: ▲a tribute to internal combustion engines (2021?2022) ▲transition to hybrid (by the end of 2024) ▲launch of the brand’s first pure electric vehicle (late 2020s).
