Daejeon City Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in Joint Local Government Evaluation for Forestry Sector
Daejeon City announced on the 14th that it was selected as an excellent institution (current issue response) in the ‘Joint Evaluation of Local Governments in the Forestry Sector’ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Korea Forest Service.
The joint evaluation is conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and central administrative agencies, targeting 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide.
In the forestry sector, the evaluation was conducted by distinguishing between goal achievement and current issue response areas.
In the evaluation, Daejeon City was recognized for its effective response to the large forest fire that occurred on April 2 in the Geumsan-Daejeon Sanjik-dong area of Chungnam and was selected as an excellent institution in the current issue response category.
