"Second Act of Life with Well-being Brunch"... Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Opens '50+ Life Redesign University'
Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) Lifelong Education Center held the opening ceremony for the "Well-being Brunch Professional Training Course for Restart" on the 8th at the dedicated lecture room of the Lifelong Education Center on campus.
At the opening ceremony, a special lecture on "Life Redesign" by Kim Dae-sik, president of Gyeongnam Information University, was also conducted.
In his special lecture, President Kim said, "Gyeongnam Information University established the first Lifelong Education Center in Korea 47 years ago and has served as a regional hub for lifelong education ever since. We aim to be a great support to the citizens of Busan preparing for their second life after retirement with the lifelong education expertise of Gyeongnam Information University."

View original imageThis educational program is part of the Busan City-led 50+ Life Redesign University project, designed to create conditions for the 50+ generation to start a meaningful and rewarding second chapter of life and to support a healthy and vibrant old age. The program consists of theoretical and practical courses for starting a brunch cafe business.
The final students were recruited from Busan citizens aged between 50 and 64, and 50 candidates with diverse backgrounds were selected through document screening. The students will receive 105 hours of life redesign education, well-being brunch training, club activities, employment and entrepreneurship education, and continuous guidance through a lifelong mentoring system.

Joo Won-sik, director of the Lifelong Education Center at Gyeongnam Information University, said, "We will do our best to contribute to the local community with this specialized curriculum and become a representative model of Busan-style lifelong education."
