Seoul Jung-gu (Mayor Kim Gilsung) is recruiting students for the 'Neighborhood Learning Center Summer Semester Program' for everyday learning.
The Jung-gu Neighborhood Learning Center has changed significantly this year. They introduced a semester system from spring to fall and revamped the application process to allow direct registration through the district office website, making it easier for residents to view and participate at a glance.
This year, the district identified 10 neighborhood learning centers such as workshops and bookstores and jointly planned 44 programs with these institutions.
In the summer semester starting in July, various programs are scheduled, including pottery and art classes at Daon Gallery (Pildong), philosophy lectures and new book readings on the way home at Soyoseoga (Euljiro-dong), and succulent plant classes focused on environmental awareness at Junglim Warehouse (Jungnim-dong).
Applications can be made from 9 a.m. on June 12 by checking the location and time of each program in the Neighborhood Learning Center section under Lifelong Learning on the Jung-gu Office website.
Priority will be given to Jung-gu residents, and successful applicants will be notified individually later.
During the spring semester held in April, some classes were fully booked early due to enthusiastic responses from residents. It is advantageous to apply early for programs of interest.
