All ticket proceeds were donated to environmental protection organizations. District participated as a platinum sponsor, with global companies such as Tiffany & Co., Mo?t & Chandon, and LSH AUTO serving as the main sponsors of the Sapphire Dinner.
District licensed a total of four works in the form of donations. These included the representative public media art works ‘WAVE’ and ‘WHALE’, as well as ‘SURF BREAK’ and ‘UNDERWATER’, which feature the sea and marine life as their themes. At the event, content themed ‘Electrified’ was screened on a massive immersive media wall centered on the ocean. District’s works were exhibited on a giant screen measuring 50 meters wide and 6 meters high. The message called for global attention to marine ecosystem protection and sustainability.
Lee Seong-ho, CEO of District, said, “Having deeply felt the necessity of protecting nature and ecosystems, we decided to support this year’s Sapphire Dinner. Since nature is a subject universally understood around the world, I believe that the four media art works District presents, themed on the ocean and marine life, will transcend borders and serve as an opportunity for the world to pay greater attention to sustainability.”
