Montenegro Prime Minister: "Terra Kwon Do-hyung Confesses to Political Funding Support to Opposition Leader"
Kwon Do-hyung, CEO of Terraform Labs, who was arrested in Montenegro, has been accused of donating political funds to a prominent politician considered a candidate for the next prime minister.
On the 8th (local time), according to local media in Montenegro, Prime Minister Dritan Abazovi? held a press conference the day before and revealed that he had received a letter from CEO Kwon.
Prime Minister Abazovi? claimed that through a handwritten letter from Kwon, he learned that Kwon had established ties with Miloko Spaji?, the leader of the newly formed party "Europe Now," since 2018 and had donated political funds to him. He also urged the special prosecutor's office to launch an investigation.
He emphasized, "In a situation where South Korea and the United States are requesting Kwon Do-hyung's extradition for criminal charges, if it is true that Spaji? had contact with Kwon, it is not good for Montenegro either," adding, "We must not become a haven for global fraudsters."
The political scene in Montenegro has been thrown into turmoil due to the allegations of political fund donations by CEO Kwon ahead of the general election scheduled for the 11th. In particular, the Europe Now party, led by Spaji?, who is suspected of having a special relationship with Kwon, is leading in approval ratings, so a major impact is expected.
Regarding this, Spaji? explained that while it is true that he invested in Terraform Labs in early 2018, the allegations that he received political funds from CEO Kwon are groundless.
