Hugel Launches Suture Brand 'Risellbee' in Thailand... "Synergy with Letibo"
Launch Seminar to Be Held on the 7th of This Month
Hugel announced on the 1st that its polydioxanone (PDO) suture brand 'Liselvi' (domestic product name: Blue Rose Forte) has been launched in Thailand.
Liselvi is a PDO-based suture brand produced by JWorld, a domestic medical suture manufacturing company and a subsidiary of Hugel. Hugel explained that it adopted a differentiated non-thermal processing method to overcome the weaknesses of existing PDO sutures that are vulnerable to heat.
In March, Hugel obtained approval from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) for 10 Liselvi products. To commemorate the brand launch, a seminar will be held on the 7th at the Pullman Hotel Sukhumvit in Thailand, targeting over 200 local medical professionals. The seminar will consist of four sessions, beginning with a brand introduction by Kang Minjong, Executive Director of Hugel’s Marketing Division.
The suture market in Thailand is known to have high entry barriers for new companies and brands due to the lengthy and costly approval process enforced by the local regulatory authority. Currently, only a few brands are officially distributed and sold in the market.
To quickly establish itself in the market, Hugel is promoting various marketing activities such as seminars and hands-on training for beginners in procedures. Customized lectures reflecting local trends, such as eyebrow lifting, as well as combination procedure lectures involving botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, and skin boosters are also being prepared.
Since Hugel’s botulinum toxin product 'Retivo' (domestic product name: Botulex) holds about 50% market share in Thailand, the company plans to actively leverage this to enhance trust and awareness of the Liselvi brand.
A Hugel representative stated, "We plan to rapidly penetrate the local market by combining JWorld’s excellent product quality with Hugel’s systematic marketing capabilities as a global medical aesthetic company. Since the botulinum toxin product 'Retivo' continues to hold the number one market share locally, synergy effects between the two products are expected."
