A man in his 30s who deceived people by selling concert tickets for singer Na Hoon-a and pocketed the money was sentenced to prison.
According to Yonhap News on the 1st, the Daejeon District Court Criminal Division 8 (Judge Choi Ri-ji) sentenced A (33), who was tried on fraud charges, to one year in prison and ordered him to pay compensation ranging from 340,000 to 760,000 won to 16 victims each.
The court stated, "Considering that A, who has multiple prior convictions of the same kind, even used an account under his younger brother's name after his account on the secondhand trading site was suspended," and "the fact that the restoration of damages for many victims was not properly carried out was also taken into account."
A is accused of deceiving a total of 20 victims from May 12 to 23 last year by selling concert tickets and pocketing 8.46 million won.
