Dong-A University Signs Business Agreement with Singapore Headquarters New Drug Development Company
Dong-A University has signed a business agreement with Prestige BioPharma IDC (IDC).
The signing ceremony was recently held at the main conference room of Dong-A University's Bumin Campus, attended by Dong-A University President Lee Hae-woo, IDC CEO Seo Seok-jae, Dong-A University Director of External and International Affairs Park Hyun-tae, Biomedical Department Professor Ko Sang-seok (IDC Outside Director), and IDC Senior Researcher Choi Eun-hye-ra.
Under this agreement, Dong-A University and IDC will actively cooperate in nurturing local talent and providing field internships.
Specifically, the two institutions will jointly conduct the Ministry of Education's standard field internship semester system, establish a system for recruitment-linked field internship programs, jointly develop and implement various projects to strengthen student capabilities in collaboration with related departments such as the University Job Plus Center (Career Support Office), conduct joint policy research, and share information.

View original imageAt the signing ceremony, President Lee Hae-woo said, “We are pleased to sign an agreement with IDC, which is leading the biopharmaceutical market through antibody drug and vaccine development,” adding, “We hope that students trained through convergence education at Dong-A University will grow into ‘glocal talents’ at international pharmaceutical company R&D centers.”
CEO Seo Seok-jae stated, “The bio market is growing rapidly and has great potential, so more talent will be needed in the future,” and added, “Based on the R&D center to be established by the end of this year in Myeongji International New City, Busan, we will collaborate with Dong-A University to accelerate the development of advanced bio new drugs.”
Prestige BioPharma, headquartered in Singapore, is strengthening its global market-targeted research and development (R&D) business centered on the Innovative Discovery Center (IDC).

IDC is an R&D hub that continues from candidate substance discovery to subsequent development and is currently constructing a large-scale R&D center in Myeongji International New City, Gangseo-gu, Busan.
