Suwon City to Launch 'Visiting Human Rights Education' from June
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will conduct 'Visiting Human Rights Education' 50 times from June to October.
Visiting Human Rights Education involves going to the field to provide human rights education to employees and users of collaborative institutions in Suwon, socially vulnerable groups, and the general public.
Suwon plans to pilot the 'Mandatory Human Rights Education System' specifically for employees of collaborative institutions to promote a culture of respect for human rights in the workplace.
A Suwon city official stated, "We will actively support education so that socially vulnerable groups, who are susceptible to human rights violations and discrimination, can recognize and assert their rights in situations of human rights infringement," and emphasized, "We will expand visiting human rights education to prevent various human rights issues and enhance citizens' human rights."
