Air Busan Launches 'Dream Campus' Program for Training Aviation Professionals
Air Busan will begin recruiting students for its self-run educational donation program, ‘Air Busan Dream Campus,’ starting from the 30th.
Now in its third year, the ‘Air Busan Dream Campus’ is an aviation specialist training project created by Air Busan to help local talents who aspire to work in the aviation industry find quality jobs within their region without migrating to the Seoul metropolitan area.
The ‘Air Busan Dream Campus’ is divided into two programs: the ‘General On-site Job Training Program’ and the ‘Advanced Practical Training Program.’
In the ‘General On-site Job Training Program,’ participants are assigned to one of three departments?▲Flight Operations ▲Cabin Crew ▲General Administration?where they receive practical training and education from current industry professionals over a two-month period.
In the ‘Advanced Practical Training Program,’ participants receive education and training in the ▲Aircraft Maintenance and ▲Airport Ground Staff fields, providing a more specialized and in-depth learning and practical experience over three months.
To allow trainees to fully focus on gaining job experience, both the ‘General’ and ‘Advanced’ programs provide separate training stipends to the trainees.
Starting this year, the program has added an advanced training course for airport ground staff and expanded the eligibility criteria. Whereas previously only aviation-related majors within the Busan area were eligible, this year any youth aged 18 to 34 residing in Busan who wish to work in the aviation industry, regardless of their major, can apply.
This year, the ‘Air Busan Dream Campus’ will recruit 60 participants. Those interested can apply through the ‘Busan Job Information Network’ from the 30th until 6:00 PM on June 12. Selection will be conducted through a total of four stages (three stages for the general program), including document screening and interviews, with final successful candidates announced at the end of June.
