The number of students admitted within the quota is 136,114, a decrease of 3,511 (2.5%), while the number of students admitted outside the quota is 27,359, an increase of 396 (1.5%).
The KCCEC explained, "Universities have proactively reduced the number of admissions due to the rapid decline in the school-age population," adding, "There is also an impact reflecting various demand groups for lifelong vocational education according to recent government policies."
A total of 150,397 students will be selected through early admissions, which are conducted in two rounds at 130 colleges. This accounts for 92% of the total admissions.
For regular admissions, 13,076 students will be selected at 131 colleges.
By major field, nursing and health fields recruit the most new students with 44,536. This is followed by mechanical and electrical-electronic fields (26,388), hotel and tourism fields (23,128), and food service and culinary fields (11,013).
The application schedule for early and regular admissions is the same for all vocational colleges. Applicants can apply to multiple colleges, and there is no limit on the number of applications.
However, students who are admitted to even one college through early admissions cannot apply for regular admissions regardless of whether they enroll or not.
Furthermore, students admitted to two or more colleges with the same admission semester must enroll in only one college. If double enrollment is confirmed, admission may be invalidated.
