Hosted by the Provincial Office of Education and organized by the Ministry of Education, the forum was arranged to collectively consider new classes and directions for change to cultivate students' future competencies, involving central government agencies, education offices, and school sites.
The event was attended by Lee Ju-ho, Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Education, Han Jeong-suk, the 2nd Deputy Superintendent of the Provincial Office of Education, along with 100 on-site teachers from across the country and numerous officials from education offices and the Ministry of Education, reflecting high interest in class changes.
The forum focused on discovering and proposing class policies that foster student autonomy and creativity through discussions and deliberations between experts and on-site teachers.
Teachers attending the forum presented various opinions on ways to enhance teachers' instructional capabilities, foster a voluntary atmosphere for class research, improve systems for better classes and assessments, and normalize school tasks centered on teaching.

In her opening remarks, Han Jeong-suk, the 2nd Deputy Superintendent of the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "In the rapidly changing digital era, school classes must also change so that students can solve problems and grow independently," adding, "I hope that diverse new class policy proposals will be made at today's forum and that better classes will spread throughout school sites."
