A Green Oasis in the City... LetsRunPark Busan·Gyeongnam Operates Retired Racehorse Pasture
Korea Racing Authority's LetsRun Park Busan·Gyeongnam will operate the 'Toma Village Pasture' for weekday park visitors starting in June.
At LetsRun Park Busan·Gyeongnam, there are more horses than employees, so considerable effort is put into horse welfare. This time, a new resting space has been created for elderly retired horses, and it has been decided to open it to customers visiting the park on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Visitors to the pasture can see 3 to 5 retired horses leisurely enjoying photosynthesis on the green grass. Various breeds such as Warmblood, Shire, and Hanra will take turns greeting visitors at the pasture.
All the horses in the pasture were used as riding horses, and unlike racehorses, most of them have gentle temperaments and good affinity with people.
The pasture, located next to the Eco Land Ecological Forest Zone, is near the bronze horse statue visible when entering through the main gate of LetsRun Park Busan·Gyeongnam.
The pasture is open free of charge every Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on public holidays, Korea Racing Authority temporary holidays, and during rainy weather.
