Gyeonggi-do Promotes Expansion of Awards for Model Complexes in Multi-family Housing Inspections
Gyeonggi Province will expand apartment complex management audits to include support for apartment complex manager education and awards for exemplary apartment complex managers.
On the 22nd, Gyeonggi Province announced that it has prepared an "Improvement Plan for Apartment Complex Audit Tasks" based on these contents, which will be applied from the second half of this year.
First, Gyeonggi Province plans to distribute educational materials focused on apartment complex audit cases to apartment complex manager education institutions such as the Korea Association of Housing Managers and the Central Apartment Complex Management Support Center, encouraging active use in education operations. Furthermore, the province will open and provide online lectures it organizes.
In addition, to expand rewards for exemplary apartment complex managers, the number of Governor's commendations for members of residents' representative meetings and management office heads will be increased from 12 to 14 starting this year. Selected exemplary and cooperative management complexes in Gyeonggi Province this year will also receive the benefit of being excluded from the planned audit targets, which focus on vulnerable management areas during the province's audits, for three years.
Gyeonggi Province will also conduct follow-up management audits by selecting complexes that were audited 2 to 3 years ago to check for recurrence of issues identified in previous audits.
The "Apartment Complex Management Support Advisory System," which has been in operation since 2020, will also be actively utilized. This system involves private experts visiting complexes directly to provide advice on areas that may be difficult or neglected, such as management administration, accounting and contracts, and contractor selection.
Additionally, the province plans to continuously strive to disseminate exemplary management cases to apartment complexes within the province and actively identify unreasonable regulations that do not reflect on-site conditions, aiming to institutionalize them.
Park Jong-geun, head of the Apartment Complex Division of the province, emphasized, "We will create conditions so that apartment complex managers can proactively improve apartment complex management tasks on-site," and added, "We will work to establish a sound apartment complex management culture."
