MFDS Urges "Stop Consumption and Return Products"
Aflatoxin, a carcinogen, was detected in excess in bread crumb products sold and distributed on the market.
On the 17th, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced that it would suspend sales and recall corn bread crumbs in which the mold toxin 'aflatoxin' exceeding the standard was detected.

The recalled products are 'Byeoli Bitnaneun Oksusu Bbanggaru' (Starry Corn Bread Crumbs) in 300g and 900g sizes, with a consumption expiration date until September 20.
Aflatoxin is a mold toxin that frequently occurs in grains and nuts in hot and humid regions and is classified as a carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Excessive intake may cause bleeding, diarrhea, and liver cirrhosis.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety urged consumers to stop consuming the product and return it to the place of purchase.
The ministry stated, "Sellers who have the recalled food products in stock should stop sales and return them to the recalling business operators," and added, "Consumers who purchased the product are requested to return it to the recall locations and actively cooperate with the food recall."
