‘PGA Young Gun’ Kim Joo-hyung took a commemorative photo with ‘soccer star’ Son Heung-min (Tottenham).
The PGA Tour and English Premier League club Tottenham revealed on social media (SNS) on the 16th (local time) a photo of Son Heung-min and Kim Joo-hyung standing side by side. The two posed holding a Tottenham jersey bearing Kim Joo-hyung’s surname ‘KIM’ and Son Heung-min’s number 7. The jersey also featured Son Heung-min’s autograph. Kim Joo-hyung also took a photo with Son Heung-min’s teammate Harry Kane (England). The PGA Tour commented, “Kim Joo-hyung’s dream as a Tottenham fan has come true.”

Kim Joo-hyung is a ‘next-generation young gun’ who has won twice on the PGA Tour, as well as twice each on the Asian Tour and the Korean Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Korean Tour. This year, Kim signed a contract with Nike, which also sponsors ‘Golf Emperor’ Tiger Woods (USA) and world No. 3 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland). After finishing tied for 16th at the Masters last month, Kim said, “Soon, I will be able to share some exciting news that is like a bucket list for me,” which appears to have been his meeting with Son Heung-min.

Son Heung-min is an ‘icon’ of Korean soccer. He scored 23 goals in the 2021-2022 English Premier League season, becoming the first Asian player to win the Golden Boot. Last year, he led South Korea to the round of 16 in the FIFA Qatar World Cup.
