Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) is making a full-fledged leap as the "Mecca of Science Education and a Future Education Leading City." On the 15th, the district announced that it signed a business agreement with the National Gwacheon Science Museum in the district office’s planning situation room to nurture future creative convergence talent and spread science culture.
Attending the agreement signing were Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Han Hyeong-ju, Director of the National Gwacheon Science Museum, among others. They agreed to actively respond to the changing educational environment such as the 4th Industrial Revolution through differentiated science education and to cooperate in nurturing scientific talent needed for future society and spreading science culture.
Following a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education in February focused on nurturing future creative convergence talent through science education, the district plans to accelerate the establishment of the nation’s top science education-centered city and a special district for science education through this new agreement.
