As of March, 34,337 people from Singapore visited Korea, marking a 55.3% increase compared to the same month in 2019 (22,105 visitors), surpassing a recovery rate of 150%. Among the six major Southeast Asian countries, Singapore is the only market growing beyond pre-COVID-19 levels.
On the 12th, at the Festive Arts Theatre, about 225 domestic and local travel industry officials will attend a performance tourism showcase and a Korean tourism briefing. Major events such as the '2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo' and the '2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games' will be introduced, along with plans to promote the '2023 Visit Korea Year.'
On the 13th, the opening ceremony of the 'K-Tourism Roadshow' will be held at Our Temasek Hub. Actor Lee Do-hyun will host a Korean tourism talk show introducing drama filming locations such as Gangneung Sodol Port from 'The Glory' and Mokpo Modern History Museum from 'Hotel Del Luna.' Furthermore, an online roadshow has been underway since the 10th of last month in collaboration with over 20 travel agencies and 5 airlines.
