Shoply Runner-Up by 4 Strokes, Lee Kyung-hoon Ties for 8th
Im Sung-jae achieves three consecutive ‘Top 10’ finishes.
On the 7th (local time), Im Sung-jae finished tied for 8th place (9-under 275) after losing one stroke in the final 4th round of the PGA Tour Wells Fargo Championship (total prize money $20 million) held at Quail Hollow Club (par 71, 7,538 yards) in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. This marks his third consecutive top 10 finish in three tournaments following a tie for 7th at last month’s RBC Heritage and 6th at the Zurich Classic, and his seventh ‘Top 10’ of the season.

After a birdie on the 1st hole (par 4), he briefly faltered with bogeys on the 4th and 6th holes, but regained momentum with an eagle on the 7th hole (par 5) and a birdie on the 8th hole (par 4). A bogey on the 9th hole (par 4) was immediately offset by a birdie on the 10th hole (par 5), but he struggled with a three-putt bogey on the 13th hole and a double bogey on the 17th hole (both par 3s) after hitting his tee shot into the water. His green in regulation rate was only 66.67%, causing difficulties.
World No. 80 Wyndham Clark (USA) added three under par to win by four strokes (19-under 265). He earned his first career victory and a huge prize of $3.6 million (approximately 4.8 billion KRW). Xander Schauffele finished 2nd (15-under 269), while Harris English (both USA) and Tyrrell Hatton tied for 3rd (12-under 272). Tommy Fleetwood (England) and Adam Scott (Australia) tied for 5th (11-under 273).
