LG Uplus announced on the 8th that it will hold a ‘Vehicle App Service Contest’ offering development funds of up to 100 million KRW. The contest aims to discover new services that will lead the connected car market. It is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises that have solutions or ideas applicable to vehicle AVN (Audio, Video, Navigation) screens.

View original imageThe contest categories include ▲Video ▲Audio ▲Sports, Education, and Hobbies ▲Travel and Life ▲Games and Network Services ▲E-commerce, Delivery, Sharing, and Transportation ▲Finance and Security, totaling seven categories. Companies wishing to participate can submit their proposals via email (lgupluscar@lguplus.co.kr) from the 22nd until the 30th of next month. Proposals should include the planning background, customer analysis, service scenario, business model, and business goals related to the chosen theme.
Evaluation will be conducted based on various criteria such as business feasibility, practicality, creativity, and technicality. After presentations, four companies will be selected as finalists. The submissions will be evaluated together with global automotive parts company ‘Hyundai Mobis’ and global smart car software platform company ‘Obigo’. Each company will sign a business agreement with the selected winners and actively support the commercialization of ideas by providing development funds of up to 100 million KRW.
