Jungjinkong, Korea-Saudi Business Consultation Meeting... "Opening Export Routes to the Middle East"
Saudi PMI and MOU Signing with 9 Korean SMEs
The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 3rd that it held the 'Korea-Saudi Business Consultation Meeting' together with PMI-KSA (Project Management Institute-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). PMI is an international organization that issues the PMP (Project Management Professional), a certified qualification in project management. PMI-KSA, the Saudi branch of PMI, nurtures experts who plan and supervise projects related to Saudi Vision 2030 and supports the provision of Saudi project information and network connections.
SBC arranged the Korea-Saudi Business Consultation Meeting to introduce Korean SMEs equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as smart cities and artificial intelligence that can be linked to Saudi projects, in line with the visit schedule of Badr Barseid, chairman of PMI-KSA.
On this day, a total of 24 small and medium venture companies hoping to enter the Saudi market attended, and a Saudi project briefing and one-on-one business meetings were held. Nine Korean SMEs also achieved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PMI-KSA.
To proactively lead the 'Second Middle East Boom,' SBC is currently promoting the opening of the Riyadh Global Business Center (GBC) within the year, based on the growing interest of many SMEs in the Saudi market. As a result of a survey on the demand for moving into the Riyadh GBC among the 24 companies that attended, 15 companies responded positively.
Kim Tae-jun, CEO of Aibechual, said, "Through this MOU signing, we gained the opportunity to introduce special sterilization platform devices such as AI air purification circulators and quarantine robots to the Saudi market," adding, "Once the Riyadh GBC opens, we plan to actively utilize SBC's global network."
